Composting Workshop – Elma

Hands-on workshop about composting will be held in the Demonstration Garden at the Grays Harbor County┬á Fairgrounds.┬á Several kinds of composting will be discussed including traditional and worm composting.┬á At noon the workshop will transition to a hands-on activity — creating a composting berm or hugelkultur which uses large woody material to create plantable berms that mimic forest decomposition.┬á Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather/activity and bring gloves.┬á┬á Two composting bins with compost turners will be given away at this workshop.┬á Composters are portable and easy to move.┬á Winners must be present to win.┬á Be ready for some fun!
